POWDER COATING
Coloured plastic-based powder paint is applied to the thoroughly cleaned, degreased and passivated surface – which should be coated – by using an electrostatic spray gun.
The plastic-based powder paint adheres to the metal surface. Then, the powdered paint melts and polymerizes in the oven when it is heated up to 160 - 200 degrees Celsius and forms a homogenous and coherent coating with very good adhesion indicators within 15-30 minutes.
By using this process, we get an extremely enduring, resilient and heat-resistant – if necessary UV resistant – plastic coating with a layer thickness of ~50-150µm.
Today, countless colours and surface finishes of powder paints are available in order to fulfil almost the entire range of customer needs.
