PLASMA CUTTING
The plasma arc is an electric arc which is formed between the electrode and the material. It is produced through the joint effect of gas which flows out of a narrow drill hole at high speed, while the electric arc, which has the same axis, is constricted by the gas stream. Point-like melting of metal by the highly concentrated plasma arc of 13.000-15.000 °C takes place and the kinetic energy of the gases removes melted metal from the shear gap.
